Who we are~
Briner, Incorporated was established in 1985 by Ted and Janie Briner,
already well-known and respected mortgage professionals in the
Washington, DC metropolitan area. In their 40+ successful years
in the mortgage business, the Briners had seen, and in fact, helped
advance many regulatory and operational improvements. Ted had
served as President of the Virginia Mortgage Bankers Association and
the Metropolitan Washington Mortgage Bankers Association, and Janie was
instrumental in developing computer technology for use in mortgage lending
operations. They developed numerous professional alliances, many
of which became personal friendships that have endured for many years.
What we do~
Briner, Incorporated isn't like other mortgage lenders you may be familiar
with. We are a family owned and operated company that has been serving our
customers for 20 years -- a milestone for any business in
this time of mergers and acquisitions! What may be even more unusual is
that our success has not been based on getting huge numbers of people in
and out our doors as quickly as possible. Rather, our success has been in
creating "Customers for Life" -- and we have done that by
concentrating on the principles of honesty, integrity and personal quality
service established by the company founders.
How we do what we do~
The importance of putting a personal face on the business is what fuels our
company -- referrals from previous customers, their families and friends
and local real estate professionals have always delivered the majority
of our business -- but we haven't overlooked the importance of using
advanced technology and innovative programs. We have combined
state-of-the-art processing and closing systems with secure use of the
internet, and automated underwriting systems.
